Male, Age : 40-50 years old , Reason : High Blood Pressure / Hypertension. Side Effects : Recently, I have been experiencing extreme lethargy, inability to concentrate for more than 20 minutes, & short term memory loss. I have also gained a considerable amount of weight--about 50 pounds--since I started the prescription, primarily, I think due to the lethargy. My dosage has been adjusted to control my BP, which this does. Review : I am not sure if the problems due to my Atenolol prescription. But, I have always been atheletic & lethargy was never a problem. These problems are affecting my job performance & causing me lot of concern. I have attempted to compensate by drinking a lot about coffee, but that has created other problems. I am tenured college professor with doctorate degree & have worked in medical research in past. |
