Warning: it drug has been reported to increase chance of womb (endometrial) cancer in women who have been through menopause. it also may increase the risk of cancer of ovary or breast. Therefore, use about estrogen-only hormone therapy (e.g., in women with-out a uterus) must be cautious. These risks of treatment appear to depend on length of time this drug is used & the amount of estrogen per dose. Consult your physician or healthcare professional for details. Estrogen given in combination with another hormone (progestin) since replacement therapy can infrequently cause heart disease (e.g., heart attacks), stroke, serious blood clots (pulmonary embolism and deep venous thrombosis), dementia, & cancer of the breast. These risks appear to depend on the length of time this drug is used & the amount of estrogen per dose. If you use this drug for an extended period, you must be evaluated at least all year. If you experience abnormal vaginal bleeding or lumps in breast, notify your pharmacist promptly. this med isnot effective in preventing or treating tendency toward miscarriages (natural habitual abortion) nor threat of miscarriage. this pill must not be used during pregnancy because It's use may result in birth defects or cancer later in the child's life. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, consult your healthcare professional immediately to discuss risk to fetus.
Depo Estradiol Usage: it medication is hormone and is given to wonen who no longer produce proper amount. It's used to reduce menopause symptoms (e.g., hot flashes). Estrogen-containing products shouldn't be used to prevent heart disease.
How to use Depo Estradiol: this med is given by injection into muscle all 3 to four weeks depending on your condition and response. Follow the dosing schedule carefully. this pill should be used for the shortest possible length of time. Consult some your doctor or healthcare professional if you have any questions. Follow your dosing schedule closely & use this only as directed.
Depo Estradiol side effects: this may cause nausea, stomach cramping, bloating, breast tenderness, headache & pain or irritation at injection site. These effects should subside as youre body adjusts to the tablet. If they continue or become severe, inform your doctor. Notify your pharmacist immediately if you experience: sudden severe headache, dizziness, jerky muscle movements, mental/mood changes (e.g., severe depression, memory loss), vomiting, leg pain/swelling, groin pain, chest pain, shortness of breath, one-sided weakness, slurred speech, menstrual changes, lumps in the breast or breast discharge, vision changes, weakness or tingling at arms or legs, swelling about lower legs, yellowing of skin or eyes. Contact lens wearers may find they're eyes more sensitive or intolerant to lenses while using this medication. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or healthcare professional.
Depo Estradiol Precautions: it medication shouldn't be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult youre doctor or physician if you have: undiagnosed abnormal vaginal bleeding, certain cancers (e.g., breast cancer, especially non-metastatic type), blood clots, active/recent stroke or heart attack, liver disease. Before using it med, tell youre physician or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: abnormal vaginal bleeding, heart disease, kidney disease, gallbladder disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, blood or blood clotting disorders, epilepsy (seizures), migraine headaches, mental depression, allergies. it med shouldnot be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform your doctor immediately. this medication may be excreted into breast milk. Consult your physician before breast-feeding. Cigarette smoking may increase risk of blood clots from it medication, especially in women over age 35. If you smoker, be sure to discuss it with you're pharmacist. Depending on strength, it drug may cause patchy, darkening of the skin on the face (melasma). Higher strengths are more likely to cause melasma. Sunlight may intensify this darkening & you may need to avoid prolonged sun exposure & sunlamps. Consult your healthcare professional regarding use of sunscreens & protective clothing.
Depo Estradiol tablet interactions: Tell your healthcare professional about any nonprescription or prescription drug you use, particularly: rifampin, blood thinners, antidepressants, barbiturates, steroids, bromocriptine, cyclosporine, liver-toxic drugs (especially dantrolene), anti- seizure drug, thyroid. this product can affect the results of certain lab tests. Make sure laboratory personnel and youre physicians know you use it drug. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.
Depo Estradiol Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, & breast pain.
Depo Estradiol special notes: Laboratory and/or medical tests (e.g., yearly breast exams & monthly breast self-exams) should be performed to monitor some your progress and money for side effects.
If you missed Depo Estradiol dose: Try to receive each dose as scheduled. If you miss a dose, contact your health care provider to establish new dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Depo Estradiol Storage: Store this drug at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from light. Safely store & properly discard needles & medical supplies as directed by your care provider.
