Vepesid Usage: it medication is an anticancer med. it is many times used in combination with other medications for treatment of certain tumors & cancers.
How to use Vepesid: it tablet is given as an injection into a vein (IV) usually over 30 to 60 minute period. your dosage depends on your medical condition and response to therapy. do not use it medicine if It's cloudy, discolored, or contains particles.
Vepesid side effects: this drug causes nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, mouth sores, reversible hair loss, itching, muscle aches, fatigue, headache, & skin rash. Notify your pharmacist if these symptoms persist or worsen. Notify your pharmacist if you develop any about following while taking this drug: fever, chills, sore throat, rapid heartbeat, unusual bleeding or bruising, severe stomach ache, muscle pain. in unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to it drug, seek immeditial medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Vepesid Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history, especially about: infections, herpes, chickenpox (or exposure to it), blood disorders, liver problems, kidney problems, allergies (especially med allergies). do not get vaccinated without youre doctor's approval & avoid people who have recently been vaccinated. preservative (benzyl alcohol) which may be found in this product or at the liquid used to mix this product (diluent) can infrequently cause serious problems (sometimes death) if given by injection to an infant during the 1'st months of life (neonatal period). risk is greater with lower birth weight infants & is greater with increased amounts of benzyl alcohol. Symptoms include sudden gasping, hypotension, or a very slow heartbeat. Report these symptoms to the doctor immediately must they occur. If possible, a preservative-free product should be used when treating neonates. Caution is advised when using it tablet in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to effects of drug. Because this med can affect production of sperm in men, a reliable form about birth control is recommended. Etoposide isnt recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your healthcare professional about pregnancy before using this med. this medication is excreted into breast milk and may have undesirable effects on nursing infant. Therefore, Its recommended you not breast-feed while using this medication.
Vepesid pill interactions: Tell your physician about every medications you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription) especially of: cyclosporine, vaccines, other cancer pills, St John's wort. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.
Vepesid Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Vepesid special notes: this medication must be taken under close medical supervision. Understand risks and benefits about this therapy. this medication affects some your blood cells. It's important to have your blood checked frequently while taking this drug to see if changes in the dose necessary.
If you missed Vepesid dose: for optimal benefits, it is important to receive each scheduled dose of this medication as directed. do not use missed dose at all and do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up. Resume your usual dosing schedule and dollars with your doctor.
