Warning: It's very important to have the right amount about lithium at your body because too much of it may lead to unwanted effects such as nausea, diarrhea, shaking of the hands, dizziness, twitching, seizures, slurred speech, confusion, or increased urination. Notify your physician promptly if these effects occur. the difference between correct amount of lithium & too much of, is small. Therefore, Its important you be monitored closely.

Eskalith Cr Usage: this med is used to treat manic-depressive disorder (bipolar disorder). it works to stabilize the mood & reduces extremes in behavior.

How to use Eskalith Cr: Take with food or milk or immediately after meals to prevent stomach upset. this medication works best if the amount of the drug in you're body is kept at constant level. Do this by taking drug at evenly spaced intervals throughout day & night. Drink 8-12 glasses of water or other fluid each day and maintain regular diet while taking it medication. do not change the amount of salt in your diet unless some your physician tells you to do so. this med must be taken as prescribed. do not stop taking it medication suddenly without consulting youre physician. some conditions may worsen if pill is suddenly stopped.

Eskalith Cr side effects: may cause drowsiness, tiredness, increased thirst, increased frequency of urination, weight gain, & trembling of hands. These should subside as your body adjusts to drug. If these symptoms persist or become bothersome, inform some your doctor. Notify your physician if you develop: diarrhea, vomiting, fever, unsteady walking, fainting, confusion, slurred speech, rapid heart rate, severe trembling of the hands. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or physician.

Eskalith Cr Precautions: Tell your physician your entire medical history especially if you have: leukemia, heart disease, kidney disease or other urinary problems, epilepsy, parkinsonism, severe dehydration (symptoms include strong & persistent thirst), infections accompanied with high fever, any allergies. this med may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. it drug is not recommended for use during pregnancy especially during 1st three months. Discuss the benefits & risks with you're doctor. Lithium is excreted into breast milk. in most cases, breast-feeding isn't recommended while using this pill. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Eskalith Cr drug interactions: Tell youre healthcare professional about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you taking including: anti- inflammatory drugs love ibuprofen, SSRI antidepressants (e.g., fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, paroxetine), other drugs for mental/mood conditions (e.g., phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine, thiothixene, or butyrophenones such as haloperidol), water pills. Maintain a normal diet with an average consumption of sodium. Avoid goods that contain sodium (like sodium bicarbonate, an ingredient in certain antacids). do not start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or pharmacist approval.

Eskalith Cr Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include diarrhea, vomiting, ringing in the ears, blurred vision, lack of coordination, unusual drowsiness, seizures, tremor, & loss about consciousness.

Eskalith Cr special notes: this may take several weeks before the full effects of this med are noted. your physician may perform lab tests periodically during treatment with this med to check how It's working. do not change brands about this pill with out checking with youre doctor or pharmacist. Not every brands are identical.

If you missed Eskalith Cr dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered unless following scheduled dose is within 2 hours (or six hours for slow-release forms). If so, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Eskalith Cr Storage: Store at room temperature away from moisture and sunlight. do not store in bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms.
