Decongestant/narcotic antitussive/antihistamine - oral

Hycofed Usage: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. the low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control cough. the antihistamine is for relief from sneezing, runny nose, water eyes. it combination product is used to treat symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, hay fever and another respiratory illnesses.
How to use Hycofed: Take this medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take it more many times then directed. this drug is best taken with full glass about water after meal or snack.
Hycofed side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, stomach upset or dry mouth may occur first some days as your body adjusts to the tablet. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit you're intake about alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, HBP, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Hycofed Precautions: Tell youre doctor if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, HBP, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, a history about drug dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if this medication causes you to feel drowsy. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if this contains PPA or if you uncertain it product has PPA. this medication must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. since small amounts about this tablet are found in breast milk, consult you're physician before breast-feeding.
Hycofed drug interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription pill you may take, including: blood pressure pills, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), cimetidine, narcotic pain drug (e.g., codeine). Limit youre intake of alcoholic beverages while taking it medication. do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Hycofed Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, headache, dizziness, weakness, profuse sweating, slow or quick heartbeat, slow or shallow breathing, hyperactivity, fever, seizures, or unconsciousness.
Hycofed special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this drug. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Hycofed dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near clock for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Hycofed Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
