Famvir Usage: it drug is an antiviral used in the treatment about shingles or in certain cases, genital herpes.

How to use Famvir: Take this drug by mouth exactly as prescribed. it drug is most effective if taken as soon as herpes is noticed. for best results, space doses at equal intervals throughout day (and night if directed by you're doctor). this will help ensure an even level about drug in body at every times. don't increase your dose or take this more often than directed. some your condition will not improve faster but risk of side effects may be increased. Contact your pharmacist if your condition does not improve or worsens.

Famvir side effects: Headache, nausea, diarrhea and fatigue are the majority of the common 1st some days as your body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you experience: vomiting, skin rash, confusion, stiffness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or doctor.

Famvir Precautions: Tell your physician if you have: kidney disease, allergies. Caution is advised in the elderly. it med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. this medication may appear in breast milk. Consult you're doctor before breast-feeding.

Famvir medication interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: probenecid, digoxin. do not start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or physician approval.

Famvir Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

If you missed Famvir dose: Try to take each dose at the scheduled clock. If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Famvir Storage: Store this medication at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 & 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store in the bathroom. Keep it & all medications out of the reach of children.
