Zovirax Usage: it medication is used to treat herpes infections of the skin, mouth, mucous membranes, genital herpes, herpes zoster (shingles), and chickenpox at several individuals. this medication does not cure herpes, but relieves the pain & may make the infection clear faster.
How to use Zovirax: Begin taking this drug as soon as symptoms appear. Take this drug as directed. Ask you're pharmacist or physician if you have any questions. Try to take the medication at evenly spaced intervals throughout day & night. it will ensure constant blood level of medication and is most effective.
Zovirax side effects: this medication may cause stomach upset, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, dizziness or weakness. These effects should disappear in several days as you're body adjusts to medication. If they persist or become worse, inform you're healthcare professional. Notify you're pharmacist if you experience: numbness or tingling of the hands or feet, leg pain, sore throat, skin rash, change in amount of urine. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate healthcare professional attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.
Zovirax Precautions: this medication should be used cautiously during pregnancy only if clearly needed. It's not known if this med appears at breast milk. Consult with your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Zovirax med interactions: Inform your pharmacist about every medicines you use (both prescription and nonprescription). do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.
Zovirax Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include sluggishness, change at amount of urine, loss of consciousness, or seizures.
Zovirax special notes: Avoid sexual activity while signs and symptoms of genital herpes present to prevent infecting your partner. Inform you're doctor if this drug does not appear to decrease frequency or severity of recurrent infections.
If you missed Zovirax dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; don't take if It's almost time since following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Zovirax Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight & moisture.
