Phenylephrine Gg Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Phenylephrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination drug is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Phenylephrine Gg: Take it med by mouth. meds should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this drug as directed. don't increase dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. Its recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.
Phenylephrine Gg side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss about appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur 1-st several days as your body adjusts to the med. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your physician if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficult or painful urination, difficulty sleeping. Because this medication may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate it effect. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.
Phenylephrine Gg Precautions: Tell your physician if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risk and benefits with some your doctor. Its not known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Phenylephrine Gg drug interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: sleeping tablets, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, tablet for depression, drug for HBP. Tell your doctor if you have, in last two weeks, taken any MAO inhibitors: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or doctor approval.
Phenylephrine Gg Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include headache, dizziness, blurred vision, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, numbness of fingers, vomiting, drowsiness, fatigue, or seizures.
Phenylephrine Gg special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed Phenylephrine Gg dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost clock for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Phenylephrine Gg Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
