warning: If you have angina or have had heart problems, do not suddenly stop using this drug with out 1-st consulting some your physician. If your physician decides you should no longer use it medication, you must stop it medication gradually according to your doctor's instructions.
Levatol Usage: this medication is used for chest pain (angina), high blood pressure and irregular heartbeats.
How to use Levatol: Take this medication exactly as prescribed. Try to take it at same times each day. do not suddenly stop taking this drug with out consulting your physician. some conditions may become worse when the drug is suddenly stopped.
Levatol side effects: You may experience dizziness, lightheadedness, drowsiness, and blurred vision as some your body adjusts to the medication. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. Because beta-blockers may reduce blood circulation to the extremities, you're hands & feet may be cold. Dress warm. Inform youre doctor if you develop: easy bruising or bleeding, swollen hands or feet, confusion, depression, a sore throat. in the unlikely part you have an allergic reaction to it drug, seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're physician or pharmacist.
Levatol Precautions: Before taking this med, tell your pharmacist if you have history of: heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, any other lung disease, diabetes, overactive thyroid gland, any pill allergies. Before having surgery, tell physician or dentist in charge that you are taking a beta-blocker. it pill must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with youre doctor. this med is excreted into breast milk and though no problems have been noted, the possibility for adverse effects to infant exists. Consult you're doctor before breast-feeding.
Levatol drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional about every prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially about: diuretics, cold preparations & nasal decongestants, reserpine, other heart or HBP medications, St John's wort. do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Levatol Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include unusually fast or slow heartbeat, dizziness, slow or shallow breathing, seizures, unconsciousness, weakness, or fatigue.
Levatol special notes: your physician may want you to take youre pulse each day while you take this drug. Learn how to monitor you're pulse.
If you missed Levatol dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered but not if Its within 4 hours about next dose (8 hours for penbutolol, atenolol, nadolol). If It's, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Levatol Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
Medical alert: your condition can cause complications in medical emergency.
