Diabetic Tussin C Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Codeine is used to quiet a cough. it combination medication is used to control cough & congestion associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Diabetic Tussin C: Take it drug with food if stomach upset occurs. Take this medication as directed. do not increase the dose or take this more many times or longer than prescribed. this is strong cough medication and should only be used since the condition and by human for which it is prescribed. it shouldnot be used since just any cough. this is helpful to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Diabetic Tussin C side effects: Drowsiness, constipation, stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, dizziness or headache may occur the first several days as some your body adjusts to the med. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're pharmacist. Notify you're doctor if you develop: skin rash, itching, rapid heart rate. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're physician or doctor.
Diabetic Tussin C Precautions: Tell youre doctor youre medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), substance abuse, allergies (especially to narcotics). Because it medication can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. since it isn't known if this medication is found at breast milk; consult some your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Diabetic Tussin C drug interactions: Tell you're healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, including: sedatives, tranquilizers, narcotic pain relievers, sleeping meds, seizure drug, muscle relaxants, meds since depression, cimetidine, quinidine. do not start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Diabetic Tussin C Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include slowed breathing, drowsiness, deep sleep or loss of consciousness, cold & clammy skin, dry mouth, and slow pulse.

If you missed Diabetic Tussin C dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if Its almost time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the doses.
Diabetic Tussin C Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture and heat. do not store in bathroom.
