Diabeta Usage: Glyburide is an anti-diabetic tablet (sulfonylurea-type) used along with a proper diet & exercise program to control high blood sugar. It's used in patients with type two diabetes (non-insulin-dependent diabetes). this works by stimulating the release of you're body's natural insulin. Effectively controlling high blood sugar helps prevent heart disease, strokes, kidney disease, blindness, and circulation problems, as well as sexual function problems (impotence).
How to use Diabeta: Take it tablet by mouth with breakfast or first main meal, usually one time daily; or use as directed by some your doctor. few patients, especially those taking higher doses, may be directed to take this drug twice day. dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy. Use this pill regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, use it at same times each day. Monitor blood glucose levels on a regular basis.
Diabeta side effects: Nausea, heartburn, stomach fullness, and weight gain may occur. If any about these effects persist or worsen, notify you're physician or doctor promptly. It's good habit to carry glucose pills or gel to treat low blood sugar. If you in situation where you don't have these reliable forms about glucose, eat a quick source of sugar such as table sugar, honey, or candy, or drink glass of orange juice or non-diet soda to quickly raise your blood sugar level. Tell your pharmacist immediately about reaction. To help prevent hypoglycemia, eat meals on regular schedule & don't skip meals. Symptoms of high blood sugar (hyperglycemia) include thirst, increased urination, confusion, drowsiness, flushing, rapid breathing, or fruity breath odor. If these symptoms occur, tell your physician immediately. your tablet dosage may need to be increased. An allergic reaction to this tablet is unlikely, but seek immediate doctor attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Diabeta Precautions: this medication shouldnot be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult youre pharmacist or doctor if you have: metabolic conditions (e.g., diabetic ketoacidosis). Consult your pharmacist, as change in your drug may be required. this med may make you more sensitive to sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning booths or sunlamps. Use sunscreen & wear protective clothing when outdoors. Caution is advised when using this drug in elderly because they may be more sensitive to the effects about drug, especially hypoglycemia. it medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. this isn't recommended for use for at least 2 weeks before delivery due to potential for fetal harm. Insulin may be preferred during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with you're pharmacist. Based on next details from related drugs, this medication may pass into breast milk. Therefore, breast-feeding while using it pill is not recommended.
Diabeta drug interactions: this drug shouldnot be used with next medications because very serious interactions may occur: bosentan. Diabeta Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: shakiness, rapid heartbeat, sweating, loss about consciousness.
Diabeta special notes: do not share this medication with others. It's recommended you attend a diabetes education program to understand diabetes & all the important aspects of Its treatment including meals/diet, exercise, personal hygiene, medications & getting regular eye, foot & medical exams. Keep every medical appointments. If you missed Diabeta dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If It's near the clock of next dose, skip missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't double the dose to catch up.
