Diltiazem capsule sustained action - oral

Tiazac Usage: this medication is calcium channel blocker. Calcium is involved in blood vessel contraction. By blocking calcium, diltiazem relaxes & widens blood vessels. Diltiazem is used to treat high blood pressure or chest pain (angina).
How to use Tiazac: the capsules may be taken without regard to meals one time per day in the morning. Swallow whole. do not crush or chew capsule. However, if you have difficulty swallowing, open the capsule, sprinkle the entire contents on a spoonful of cool applesauce, and take at one time. do not chew mixture. Follow this with a cool glass of water. do not stop taking it medication with out you're doctor's permission. you're dose may need to be gradually reduced.
Tiazac side effects: this pill may cause dizziness & lightheadedness especially during the first few days. Avoid activities requiring alertness. When you sit or lie down for while, get up slowly to allow you're body to adjust & minimize dizziness. You may also experience bloating, heartburn, muscle cramps, headache, flushing, nasal congestion, sore throat, constipation or diarrhea. Inform you're doctor if they become bothersome. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: breathing difficulties, swelling of the hands or feet, an irregular heartbeat. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or healthcare professional.
Tiazac Precautions: Before taking it drug, tell your pharmacist if you have: heart problems, liver problems, lung diseases, allergies. Limit intake of alcohol while taking this drug. this drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. this drug is excreted in to breast milk. If there is no alternative to using this drug you should discontinue breast-feeding. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Tiazac drug interactions: Tell you're pharmacist of all prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially about: cyclosporine, flecainide, intravenous (IV) calcium, beta-blockers (including eye drops), digoxin, lithium, disopyramide, high blood pressure drug, benzodiazepines (e.g., midazolam, triazolam), buspirone, lovastatin, quinidine, rifampin, carbamazepine, cimetidine, St John's wort. Avoid any medications that increase your heart-rate (the decongestants phenylephrine, pseudoephedrine & phenylpropanolamine are examples). These drugs are commonly found at over-the-counter cough-and-cold products. do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or healthcare professional approval.
Tiazac Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include dizziness, weakness, slowed or irregular heartbeat, nausea, drowsiness, confusion, & slurred speech.
Tiazac special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed Tiazac dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; don't take if It's almost time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Tiazac Storage: Store in room temperature away from sunlight & moisture.
