    Minoxidil Usage: this medication is used topically to promote hair growth in the treatment of male pattern baldness.

    How to use Minoxidil: Clean & dry the scalp area before applying med. To apply, gently rub approximately 20 drops about the medication to the desired area twice day. Wash hands thoroughly after application. Larger or more frequent doses will not speed up or increase chance of hair growth, but will increase chance about side effects. don't use this medication with any other topical scalp meds.

    Minoxidil side effects: this medication may cause burning, stinging or redness when first applied to the skin. this should disappear in some days as youre body adjusts to the med. If these effects persist or worsen, inform your healthcare professional. If excessive amounts of this medication absorbed through the skin, headache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, change at heart rate or blood pressure, chest pain, swelling about hands or feet, or fatigue may occur. see for these effects and inform your physician if they occur. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.

    Minoxidil Precautions: do not apply minoxidil to a sunburned or irritated scalp. Using the medication more much times, applying more of this than as directed, or applying this to an irritated or sunburned scalp can cause the drug to be absorbed into your body & result in serious side effects. women who are pregnant or breast-feeding should inform their doctors. Tell your doctor youre medical history, especially of: heart problems, kidney problems, liver problems, other scalp conditions, allergies (especially drug allergies).

    Minoxidil medication interactions: Before using minoxidil, tell some your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription medications you are taking, especially of: guanethidine, other drugs used for high blood pressure. do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or pharmacist approval.

    Minoxidil Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

    Minoxidil special notes: at first, hair growth will be soft, colorless and barely visible. With further treatment new hair must be color & thickness of other scalp hair. Evidence of hair growth may take up to 4 months or longer. If this does not occur, contact your doctor about continuing therapy. If treatment is stopped, new hair will be shed within few months. this drug is to be used topically only. Accidental ingestion can produce significant side effects. Keep this and all medications out about reach about children. do not allow anyone else to use you're minoxidil.

    If you missed Minoxidil dose: If you miss dose, use this as soon as remembered; do not use if this is almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Minoxidil Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
