    Cough Syrup DM Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. this combination med is used to treat a cough associated with the common cold, allergies and other respiratory illnesses.

    How to use Cough Syrup DM: Take this medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase some your dose or take this more often then directed. Capsules and long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. the long action will be destroyed & the chance of side effects will be increased.

    Cough Syrup DM side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur the 1-st several days as your body adjusts to drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Notify you're physician if you develop any of these effects while taking this drug: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this medication makes you feel dizzy. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.

    Cough Syrup DM Precautions: Tell youre pharmacist your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. since small amounts about this drug are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Cough Syrup DM medication interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

    Cough Syrup DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, & seizures.

    Cough Syrup DM special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking it medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

    If you missed Cough Syrup DM dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if this is near clock since the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Cough Syrup DM Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom.
