Rhinocort Usage: it is an anti-inflammatory medication (corticosteroid) which acts in nose to treat symptoms of allergies. Symptoms include nasal congestion, post nasal drip, itching, runny nose or sneezing.
How to use Rhinocort: this pill is usually used as either 2 sprays in each nostril twice day or as 4 sprays in each nostril once a day as directed. don't increase your dose, use it more frequently or stop using it medication without first consulting your healthcare professional. this med is for use in nose. health care professional should instruct you on the proper use about nasal inhaler. for best results, follow instructions closely. Before using the inhaler, gently blow your nose to clear nasal passages. Open the nasal adapter as instructed in the product information leaflet provided. Shake canister well before using. Close one nostril with a finger & gently insert the tip of the nose piece in to other nostril. Hold your breath and press down on canister to deliver prescribed number about sprays. Repeat this for other nostril. Close the nasal adapter as instructed. Clean inhaler regularly by removing the aerosol container & washing the plastic parts in warm, mild soapy water. Allow the plastic parts to dry and then replace canister.
Rhinocort side effects: Dry or irritated nose or throat, or sneezing may occur as your body adjusts to the medication. bad taste at the mouth may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform some your doctor. Rinse your mouth after each use if this causes a strange taste in you're mouth. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: rash, sore throat, fever, repeated nasal bleeding, sores in the nose, swelling of face, wheezing, breathing trouble, behavioral changes (especially in children), green or yellow-colored nasal secretions. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly the following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness, vision changes. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Rhinocort Precautions: Tell youre pharmacist your medical history, especially of: thyroid problems, liver disease, infection, recent nasal surgery or trauma, any allergies. Though very unlikely, this is possible it drug will be absorbed into your bloodstream. this may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. this is especially true for child & for those who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. this precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use of this drug. Consult your healthcare professional or physician for more details. Caution is advised at kid as this drug may affect growth patterns. Consult child's physician. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with you're physician. Based on information for similar medications, budesonide may pass in to breast milk. Therefore, consult youre physician before breast-feeding.
Rhinocort tablet interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, especially of: oral corticosteroids, immunosuppressants, other allergy drugs. do not start or stop any medicine with-out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Rhinocort Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Rhinocort special notes: it may take 3 to 7 days before effects of this medication seen. Maximum benefit results from regular use as prescribed. If no improvement is noted by the third week of continued use, contact your healthcare professional. Inform all your pharmacists you use, or have used, this medication.
If you missed Rhinocort dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; don't use it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Rhinocort Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C), away from heat & light as directed. don't store in an area of high humidity such as a bathroom. Keep out of reach of children. Store inhaler with valve pointing upward. once inhaler has been removed from It's aluminum pouch this should be used within 6 months.
