    Vitamin B 12 Usage: Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) is important to the body since growth, cell production, blood & nerve function. it is given to treat low levels about B12 or in conditions where requirements may be increased such as in chronic illnesses.

    How to use Vitamin B 12: this medication is given by injection in to a muscle or injected deeply under the skin (deep subcutaneous injection). Initially it may be given all day. Maintenance doses usually given one time month.

    Vitamin B 12 side effects: Mild diarrhea, itching, temporary feeling of warmth & pain at injection site may occur. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're physician. Notify your healthcare professional if you experience: breathing trouble, congestion, tightness in the chest. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're pharmacist or physician.

    Vitamin B 12 Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: eye diseases, infections, any allergies. a preservative (benzyl alcohol) which may be found in it product or in liquid used to mix it product (diluent) can infrequently cause serious problems (sometimes death) if given by injection to an infant during 1'st months about life (neonatal period). risk is greater with lower birth weight infants & is greater with increased amounts of benzyl alcohol. Symptoms include sudden gasping, low blood pressure, or a very slow heartbeat. Report these symptoms to the doctor immediately must they occur. If possible, a preservative-free product must be used when treating neonates. it medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with you're healthcare professional. since small amounts of it medication found in breast milk, consult you're physician before breast-feeding.

    Vitamin B 12 drug interactions: Tell youre pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, especially of: vitamin products, folic acid, cimetidine, potassium supplements, neomycin, colchicine. Limit intake of alcoholic beverages which can interfere with absorption of it drug. do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or pharmacist approval.

    Vitamin B 12 Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

    Vitamin B 12 Storage: this drug is to be stored in cool, dry area away from direct light. do not store in bathroom.
