Alglucerase - injection

Ceredase Usage: this medication is an enzyme used to replace deficiency in persons with Gaucher's disease. the pill improves symptoms & reduces complications about the disease.
How to use Ceredase: this medication is given by infusion into vein over 1 to two hour period usually all 2 weeks. the frequency of dosing may be as often as every other day or only every four weeks based on your condition & response.
Ceredase side effects: this med may cause mild fever, chills, stomach upset, nausea, vomiting or irritation at injection site. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your healthcare professional if your develop skin rash, itching, wheezing, breathing trouble or chest pain while taking this pill. These may be signs of an allergic reaction. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Ceredase Precautions: Tell you're pharmacist if you have: other illnesses, allergies. it med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your pharmacist. It's not known if this drug appears in breast milk. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Ceredase drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. do not start or stop any medicine with-out pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Ceredase Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Ceredase special notes: this med is prepared from people donor tissue; thus, there is risk of viral contamination. However, manufacturing processes & quality testing reduces this risk. Discuss risks & benefits of this drug with your health care provider.
If you missed Ceredase dose: Try to use each dose as scheduled. If you miss a dose, consult your health care provider to establish new dosing schedule. As with the majority of the medications, do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Ceredase Storage: it drug is prepared just prior to use. Containers stored in the refrigerator. do not shake container. After reconstituting, discard any unused portion. Discard container if particles or discoloration are present. do not use after expiration date on vial.
