Corticosteroids - topical
Diprosone Usage: this med is used to treat swelling, inflammation, or itching of skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes, insect bites, poison ivy, allergies & other irritations.
How to use Diprosone: Clean & dry the affected area before applying the tablet. To apply, gently massage small amount of the medication into affected area and surrounding skin. do not bandage, wrap or cover region treated unless you are instructed to do so by youre pharmacist. do not use plastic pants or tight fitting diapers on children being treated with this medication in the diaper region. Avoid using this medication around the eyes unless directed to do so by your pharmacist.
Diprosone side effects: this drug can cause burning, stinging, itching, or redness when 1st applied to skin. this should disappear at few days as your body adjusts to drug. it drug may also cause skin thinning & discoloration. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform you're healthcare professional. Skin infections can become worse when using this drug. Notify your pharmacist if redness, swelling or irritation does not improve. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your doctor or doctor.
Diprosone Precautions: do not use it medication near eyes if you have glaucoma. Treatment with clobetasol, halobetasol propionate & augmented betamethasone dipropionate beyond two weeks consecutively isn't recommended. do not use if they're is an infection or sores present on the area to be treated. Though very unlikely, It's possible this med will be absorbed into you're bloodstream. this may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. it is especially true for children & for those who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. this precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use of this pill. Consult your doctor or healthcare professional for more details. this medication should be used cautiously during pregnancy & only if clearly needed. Discuss benefits & risks with your healthcare professional. Small amounts of this pill may appear in breast milk. Consult with some your physician before breast-feeding.
Diprosone drug interactions: Tell your doctor of every medications you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription), especially of: prednisone (or similar drugs), other skin medicines. do not start or stop any medicine with-out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Diprosone Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Diprosone special notes: Inform all your physicians you use (or have used) this medication. do not share this medication with others.
If you missed Diprosone dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if it is almost time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Diprosone Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
