Silver Sulfadiazine Usage: this medication is used to prevent & treat skin infections associated with burns.

How to use Silver Sulfadiazine: this medication is for topical use only. Clean & dry affected area before applying drug. Using sterile glove, apply thin movie (1/16 inch) about the medication to affected area & surrounding skin 1 time or twice daily. Continue to use the medication as prescribed for full time prescribed. Keep affected area covered with the medication at every times. do not cover with bandages unless instructed to do so by some your physician.

Silver Sulfadiazine side effects: this medication can cause burning, stinging or redness when 1-st applied to the skin. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your healthcare professional. in the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to it med, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.

Silver Sulfadiazine Precautions: Tell youre doctor youre medical history, especially: liver or kidney disease, blood disorders, any allergies. do not apply it tablet to infants less than two months of age. Before you use silver sulfadiazine, tell your healthcare professional if you pregnant. this drug should not be used near or at term. it is not known if this drug is excreted into breast milk. However, similar, systemically absorbed forms of it drug are excreted into breast milk and have been shown to have undesirable effects on nursing infant. Consult your doctor before breast- feeding.

Silver Sulfadiazine drug interactions: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially about other skin products.

Silver Sulfadiazine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

Silver Sulfadiazine special notes: do not allow anyone else to use this drug.

If you missed Silver Sulfadiazine dose: Apply any missed dose as soon as possible but not if it is almost time for the next dose. If it is time for the next dose, skip missed dose & resume your regular schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.

Silver Sulfadiazine Storage: Store at room temperature & in tight container. do not freeze.
