Silvadene Usage: this medication is used to prevent & treat skin infections associated with burns.

How to use Silvadene: it tablet is for topical use only. Clean and dry affected area before applying medication. Using sterile glove, apply a thin movie (1/16 inch) of medication to the affected area and surrounding skin once or twice daily. Continue to use med as prescribed for full clock prescribed. Keep the affected region covered with the medication at every times. do not cover with bandages unless instructed to do so by your doctor.

Silvadene side effects: this medication can cause burning, stinging or redness when 1st applied to skin. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform youre pharmacist. in unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.

Silvadene Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially: liver or kidney disease, blood disorders, any allergies. do not apply this medication to infants less than two months of age. Before you use silver sulfadiazine, tell youre doctor if you are pregnant. this med should not be used near or at term. this isnt known if this pill is excreted into breast milk. However, similar, systemically absorbed forms of it drug are excreted into breast milk & have been shown to have undesirable effects on nursing infant. Consult your doctor before breast- feeding.

Silvadene medication interactions: Tell your physician of every prescription & nonprescription pills you may use, especially about other skin products.

Silvadene Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

Silvadene special notes: do not allow anyone else to use this medication.

If you missed Silvadene dose: Apply any missed dose as soon as possible but not if It's almost clock for the following dose. If Its clock for next dose, skip missed dose & resume your regular schedule. do not double dose to catch up.

Silvadene Storage: Store at room temperature & in a tight container. do not freeze.
