Kenalog Usage: this med is used to treat swelling, inflammation, or itching of skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes, insect bites, poison ivy, allergies & other irritations.
How to use Kenalog: Clean & dry affected region before applying pill. To apply, gently massage a small amount of medication into affected area & surrounding skin. do not bandage, wrap or cover area treated unless you instructed to do so by you're doctor. do not use plastic pants or tight fitting diapers on child being treated with it med in the diaper area. Avoid using this drug around eyes unless directed to do so by you're pharmacist.
Kenalog side effects: it med may cause burning, stinging, itching, or redness when first applied to skin. this should disappear in a some days as youre body adjusts to drug. this drug may also cause skin thinning and discoloration. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your healthcare professional. Skin infections can become worse when using this drug. Notify you're physician if redness, swelling or irritation does not improve. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly the following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Kenalog Precautions: do not use this drug near the eyes if you have glaucoma. Treatment with clobetasol, halobetasol propionate & augmented betamethasone dipropionate beyond two weeks consecutively is not recommended. don't use if there is an infection or sores present on region to be treated. Though very unlikely, it is possible this medication will be absorbed into your bloodstream. it may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. this is especially true for children and for those who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. it precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use of this pill. Consult youre pharmacist or pharmacist for more details. this med must be used cautiously during pregnancy and only if clearly needed. Discuss benefits and risks with your healthcare professional. Small amounts of this medication may appear in breast milk. Consult with your doctor before breast-feeding.
Kenalog pill interactions: Tell your physician of every medications you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription), especially of: prednisone (or similar drugs), other skin medicines. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Kenalog Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Kenalog special notes: Inform every your healthcare professionals you use (or have used) this medication. do not share it medication with others.
If you missed Kenalog dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if Its almost time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Kenalog Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
Medical alert: your condition can cause complications in medical emergency.
