Penlac Usage: this pill is used to treat fungal infections of the fingernails or toenails, as series of an overall nail infection treatment plan.
How to use Penlac: this drug generally is applied one time daily with the applicator brush (at bedtime or eight hours before washing) to all affected nails as directed. Cover entire nail area & edge about skin next to nail. Also apply the liquid to nail bed, & underside of the nail if possible. this med shouldn't be removed daily; daily applications should be made over the previous coat. Remove the medication with alcohol every seven days. it cycle is repeated throughout treatment period. Learn proper use of this product. Consult your physician or physician. Follow all instructions since general nail care. Loose nail removal by pharmacist, & regular nail trimming very important parts of it treatment. for best results, it drug must be used routinely as directed. Continue using it for full time prescribed, then promptly discontinue use. Stopping this medication too soon, however, may not clear the infection & may result in a reinfection. full treatment may last up to one year; improvement may not be noticed until after six months of treatment. Use of this tablet may not produce completely clear nail. do not use this drug in eyes, mouth, nose, or vaginal area. it is for external use on toenails, fingernails and the skin next to affected nails. do not use nail polish or other cosmetics on affected nails.
Penlac side effects: Contact with the skin around the nail may cause mild, temporary redness. If this effect persists or worsens, notify your physician immediately. Also report nail shape change, ingrown toenail, or nail discoloration. Tell some your physician immediately if you have any of these serious side effects: itching/burning/blistering/swelling skin, oozing of the affected area. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Penlac Precautions: Tell your physician youre medical history, including: any allergies, diabetes, immune system disorders. it drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. it is not known whether this drug passes into breast milk. Consult you're pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Penlac medication interactions: Tell some your physician of all prescription & nonprescription drug you use, especially of: oral antifungal medicines. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or doctor approval.
Penlac Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Penlac special notes: do not share this medication with others.
If you missed Penlac dose: If you miss dose, use this as soon as you remember. If It's near time of following dose, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't double dose to catch up.
Penlac Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat, flame, light and moisture. this product is flammable.
