Retin Usage: this drug is used at treatment of acne. this reduces formation about pimples and promotes fast healing of pimples that do develop.
How to use Retin a: Patient instructions available with the product. Read them carefully before using. Apply thin layer to affected area at bedtime. Use gauze pad or cotton swab to apply liquid. Wash hands immediately after use. Using this drug more frequently or in excessive amounts does not improve the results, but may increase side effects. Avoid applying near the eyes, mouth, or open cuts since this medication can irritate sensitive skin. Even though acne may appear to worsen when medication is 1st used, continue therapy. it may take three to 6 weeks before full benefits about this medication are seen.
Retin a side effects: Immediately after applying, the skin may feel warm or mild stinging or redness may occur. some peeling of skin may occur. These effects should subside as you're skin adjusts to the medication. If they persist or become bothersome, inform your physician. this medicine may also increase sun sensitivity. Notify your pharmacist if you experience: blistering, crusting, redness, severe burning or swelling of the skin. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Retin Precautions: this medication can increase sensitivity to sunlight, wind & cold. Avoid prolonged exposure to sun & sunlamps. Wear protective clothing and use an effective sunscreen. Use mild soap when washing your face. don't wash face excessively. Abrasive soaps, cleansers, medicated creams or lotions can increase skin irritation. Consult some your doctor or healthcare professional about theyre use. Use other acne preparations with caution while using it drug. this medication is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor since more details. It's not known if this med passes in to breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Retin a pill interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of every prescription & nonprescription tablets you may use. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.
Retin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed. Symptoms of overdose may include excessive redness, peeling, & discomfort.
Retin special notes: Cosmetics may be used, but clean skin thoroughly before applying medication.
If you missed Retin a dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; don't use if It's almost time for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Retin Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Gel preparations are flammable. do not expose to heat or fire sources. do not smoke during use. Keep every meds away from children & pets.
