Locoid Usage: this medication is used to treat swelling, inflammation, or itching of skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes, insect bites, poison ivy, allergies and another irritations.
How to use Locoid: Clean & dry affected area before applying medication. To apply, gently massage a small amount of medication in to affected area & surrounding skin. do not bandage, wrap or cover area treated unless you instructed to do so by your doctor. do not use plastic pants or tight fitting diapers on kid being treated with this drug in diaper area. Avoid using this medication around eyes unless directed to do so by your physician.
Locoid side effects: this tablet can cause burning, stinging, itching, or redness when first applied to the skin. this should disappear in some days as your body adjusts to the medication. this medication may also cause skin thinning and discoloration. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your healthcare professional. Skin infections can become worse when using this medication. Notify youre doctor if redness, swelling or irritation does not improve. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly next side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Locoid Precautions: do not use this med near eyes if you have glaucoma. Treatment with clobetasol, halobetasol propionate & augmented betamethasone dipropionate beyond two weeks consecutively isnt recommended. do not use if there is an infection or sores present on the area to be treated. Though very unlikely, it is possible this drug will be absorbed in to you're bloodstream. it may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. this is especially true for kid and for those who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. this precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use about this drug. Consult your pharmacist or pharmacist since more details. this medication should be used cautiously during pregnancy & only if clearly needed. Discuss benefits and risks with you're healthcare professional. Small amounts about this drug may appear in breast milk. Consult with your physician before breast-feeding.
Locoid drug interactions: Tell you're doctor of every meds you may use, (both prescription and nonprescription), especially about: prednisone (or similar drugs), other skin medicines. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Locoid Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Locoid special notes: Inform all your physicians you use (or have used) this pill. don't share this medication with others.
If you missed Locoid dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; don't use if It's almost time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Locoid Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
