    Antihistamines with decongestants - oral

    Sudafed Usage: Antihistamines provide relief of symptoms of allergies such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes & sneezing. Decongestants relieve congestion, promote sinus draining & improve breathing.

    How to use Sudafed: May be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. It's recommended to drink plenty about fluids while taking this medication, unless some your doctor instructs you otherwise. If symptoms don't improve after 7 days or are accompanied by high fever, notify your physician. do not increase the dose or take this more frequently than recommended. the suspension dosage form must be shaken well before each use.

    Sudafed side effects: may cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability and dry mouth and nose. These effects should subside as your body adjusts to the medication. If they persist or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: breathing difficulties, heart pounding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing at ears, difficulty urinating. can cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from seated or lying position. Change positions slowly & be careful on stairs. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your pharmacist or pharmacist.

    Sudafed Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially of: asthma, glaucoma, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, an overactive thyroid gland, drug allergies. cash this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain it product has PPA. don't drink alcoholic beverages. this med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Consult your physician before breast-feeding. do not give it medication to children younger than six years of age unless directed to do so by physician.

    Sudafed pill interactions: Tell your doctor what medications you take, especially of: HBP drugs, anti-seizure drugs, antidepressants, sleeping tablets, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain med, other cold or allergy drug. do not take it drug if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within last two weeks. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.

    Sudafed Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose in child may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount of urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms of overdose in adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.

    Sudafed special notes: do not share this product with others.

    If you missed Sudafed dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if Its almost clock for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    Sudafed Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight & moisture.
