    Corticosteroids - topical

    Simular Drugs : Halog, Halog E

    Halog E Usage: this drug is used to treat swelling, inflammation, or itching about skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes, insect bites, poison ivy, allergies & other irritations.

    How to use Halog E: Clean & dry affected area before applying tablet. To apply, gently massage small amount of pill in to the affected area & surrounding skin. don't bandage, wrap or cover area treated unless you instructed to do so by your physician. do not use plastic pants or tight fitting diapers on children being treated with this medication in the diaper area. Avoid using this medication around the eyes unless directed to do so by your healthcare professional.

    Halog E side effects: it medication can cause burning, stinging, itching, or redness when 1st applied to skin. this should disappear in some days as youre body adjusts to med. this medication may also cause skin thinning & discoloration. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform some your pharmacist. Skin infections can become worse when using it pill. Notify your pharmacist if redness, swelling or irritation does not improve. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly the following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.

    Halog E Precautions: do not use this medication near eyes if you have glaucoma. Treatment with clobetasol, halobetasol propionate and augmented betamethasone dipropionate beyond 2 weeks consecutively isnot recommended. do not use if their is an infection or sores present on the area to be treated. Though very unlikely, it is possible this drug will be absorbed into you're bloodstream. this may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. this is especially true for children & for those who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. it precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use of this tablet. Consult youre healthcare professional or pharmacist for more details. this medication should be used cautiously during pregnancy & only if clearly needed. Discuss the benefits & risks with youre pharmacist. Small amounts about this tablet may appear in breast milk. Consult with youre pharmacist before breast-feeding.

    Halog E drug interactions: Tell your doctor of all medications you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription), especially about: prednisone (or similar drugs), other skin medicines. don't start or stop any medicine with-out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.

    Halog E Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

    Halog E special notes: Inform all youre physicians you use (or have used) this pill. do not share it drug with others.

    If you missed Halog E dose: If you miss dose, use this as soon as remembered; do not use if it is almost time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    Halog E Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.

    Medical alert: your condition can cause complications in a medical emergency.
