Betamethasone Dipropionate Usage: it medication is used to treat swelling, inflammation, or itching of skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes, insect bites, poison ivy, allergies and other irritations.
How to use Betamethasone Dipropionate: Clean & dry affected area before applying the medication. To apply, gently massage a very small amount about the drug into affected region and surrounding skin. do not bandage, wrap or cover the area treated unless you instructed to do so by your pharmacist. do not use plastic pants or tight fitting diapers on children being treated with this pill in diaper area. Avoid using this medication around the eyes unless directed to do so by you're healthcare professional.
Betamethasone Dipropionate side effects: this medication can cause burning, stinging, itching, or redness when 1st applied to skin. this should disappear in several days as youre body adjusts to the med. this medication may also cause skin thinning and discoloration. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform you're doctor. Skin infections can become worse when using this drug. Notify youre doctor if redness, swelling or irritation does not improve. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly the next side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.
Betamethasone Dipropionate Precautions: do not use it med near the eyes if you have glaucoma. Treatment with clobetasol, halobetasol propionate & augmented betamethasone dipropionate beyond two weeks consecutively is not recommended. do not use if there is an infection or sores present on area to be treated. Though very unlikely, It's possible this drug will be absorbed at to your bloodstream. it may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. this is especially true for child & for those who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. this precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use about it drug. Consult youre pharmacist or pharmacist for more details. this medication must be used cautiously during pregnancy & only if clearly needed. Discuss benefits & risks with your healthcare professional. Small amounts of it medication may appear in breast milk. Consult with your doctor before breast-feeding.
Betamethasone Dipropionate drug interactions: Tell your physician of all meds you may use, (both prescription and nonprescription), especially about: prednisone (or similar drugs), another skin medicines. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Betamethasone Dipropionate Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Betamethasone Dipropionate special notes: Inform every your physicians you use (or have used) this medication. don't share it medication with others.
If you missed Betamethasone Dipropionate dose: If you miss dose, use this as soon as remembered; do not use if it is almost time for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Betamethasone Dipropionate Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
