Warning: Use of it med during pregnancy can cause abortion, premature birth, or birth defects. Rupture about the womb (uterus) has occurred in pregnant wemen using misoprostol to start labor, or when using this to cause abortion after eighth week about pregnancy. Misoprostol shouldnot be taken to reduce the risk of ulcers due to aspirin or related drugs (NSAIDs such as ibuprofen) if you pregnant. it drug should not be used to reduce risk of NSAID ulcers if you of childbearing age, unless you are at high risk of having an ulcer, or ulcer complications. If women must use this, four requirements must be met: 1) negative pregnancy test within 2 weeks before starting use of misoprostol; 2) be able to use effective measures to prevent pregnancy (contraception); 3) receive oral & written warnings on the dangers about misoprostol use in women of childbearing age, & the risks about possible birth control failure; 4) begin taking it only on second or third day about the next normal menstrual period. this tablet must not be shared with others.

Cytotec Usage: this drug is used to prevent ulcers in persons taking nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs, including aspirin), especially in persons at risk for developing ulcers or those with a history of ulcers. this tablet is also used in combination with another tablet to end pregnancy (abortion).
How to use Cytotec: this drug is best taken with meals & at bedtime to minimize the incidence of diarrhea. Avoid taking magnesium-containing antacids such as Mylanta or Maalox while on it drug. These types of antacids may increase frequency/severity of diarrhea caused by misoprostol. Read antacid labels carefully to dollars since magnesium content. It's important to take it medication exactly as prescribed. do not increase you're dose or take more often than prescribed.
Cytotec side effects: it medication causes diarrhea that usually stops after 8 days. Nausea, vomiting, stomach pains, gas, indigestion, or headache may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify you're pharmacist promptly. Tell some your doctor immediately if these unlikely but serious side effects occur: menstrual irregularities, unusual/heavy vaginal bleeding. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Cytotec Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially: stomach/intestinal disorders, prior Cesarean birth or uterine surgery, five or more previous pregnancies, any allergies. Misoprostol must not be used during pregnancy (see Warning section). Use effective birth control while taking this medication since ulcer prevention. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform youre doctor immediately. it is not known if misoprostol is excreted into breast milk. the manufacturer of this drug advises against breast-feeding while using misoprostol because it may harm nursing infant.
Cytotec drug interactions: Tell your doctor of all medicines you may use (both prescription & nonprescription) especially: magnesium- containing antacids. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or doctor approval.
Cytotec Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include sleepiness, tremors, seizures, difficulty breathing, stomach pain, diarrhea, fever, and slow heart rate.
Cytotec special notes: do not allow anyone else to take this drug.
If you missed Cytotec dose: Take any missed dose as soon as possible but not if it is almost clock since the following dose. If it is time for next dose, skip missed dose & resume some your regular schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
Cytotec Storage: Store at room temperature & keep away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
