Warning: it is a powerful fluid-reducing medication. Using too many it medication can lead to serious water & mineral loss. Therefore, it is important you be monitored by you're doctor. Promptly notify your healthcare professional if you become very thirsty, have dry mouth, become confused, or develop muscle cramps/weakness.

Edecrin Sodium Usage: it med is diuretic. Diuretics decrease the amount about water retained in the body by increasing urination. this drug is used to treat fluid retention of lungs or swelling of hands or feet (edema) and HBP.
How to use Edecrin Sodium: it drug is given by injection into vein (IV). Inspect container before using. If this is discolored, has particles or has a hazy appearance, discard it and use another. If this medication is used in late afternoon or evening, you may need to urinate during the night. Consult your doctor regarding your dosing schedule.
Edecrin Sodium side effects: this drug may cause dizziness and lightheadedness especially during the 1-st some days as your body adjusts to it. Rise slowly from a seated or lying position. Blurred vision, loss about appetite, itching, stomach upset, headache, or weakness may also occur during initial therapy as some your body adjusts to medication. Inform your pharmacist if you develop: muscle cramps, pain, nausea, vomiting, hearing difficulty. this drug increases urination. Expect it effect. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your physician or healthcare professional.
Edecrin Sodium Precautions: Before using this medication, tell some your doctor your medical history especially: kidney problems, unusual decrease in urine output, liver disease, any drug allergies. this drug can reduce the potassium levels in your blood. potassium supplement may be prescribed by your doctor. Before using this drug, tell your physician if you pregnant. It's not known if this drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Edecrin Sodium pill interactions: Tell your doctor of every prescription & nonprescription medicines you use especially: lithium, warfarin, aminoglycoside antibiotics (e.g., gentamicin, tobramycin), NSAIDs (e.g., indomethacin, naproxen), meds used for HBP, ginseng. do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Edecrin Sodium Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include dry mouth, dizziness, excessive urination followed by a decrease in amount of urine, muscle cramps, weakness, & weak or irregular heartbeat.
Edecrin Sodium special notes: Lab/blood tests may be done periodically to monitor your progress.
If you missed Edecrin Sodium dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use it if it is almost clock since next dose. Instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Edecrin Sodium Storage: Store at a tightly closed container at room temperature (77 degrees F; 25 degrees C). Brief storage between 59-86 degrees F (15 - 30 C) is permitted. don't freeze. do not store in the bathroom.
