Lozol Usage: Indapamide is a 'water pill' (diuretic) used to treat excess body water (edema) & high blood pressure. it works by decreasing amount about water in the body by increasing urination.
How to use Lozol: Because this medication increases urination, this is best taken early in day. this mediation may be taken with food or milk to reduce stomach upset. this med may reduce the potassium levels in your blood. it is advisable to eat foods or drink liquids high in potassium such as citrus juices, bananas, tomatoes, melons, and raisins to help prevent low potassium. Salt substitutes contain potassium and may be beneficial. sometimes potassium supplement med will be prescribed by you're doctor.
Lozol side effects: it med may cause dizziness or lightheadedness especially during the first few days as your body adjusts to it. Rise slowly from seated or lying position to minimize dizziness. Blurred vision, loss about appetite, stomach upset, headache & weakness may also occur. Inform youre doctor if any of these effects persist or worsen. Inform you healthcare professional if your develop any of next symptoms (possible signs of low potassium levels): muscle cramps, pain, nausea, vomiting. in the unlikely event an allergic reaction to it drug occurs, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your doctor or doctor.
Lozol Precautions: Before you take indapamide, tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially: heart rhythm problems, vitamin/ mineral (electrolyte) imbalances, diabetes, gout, kidney, thyroid or parathyroid problems, liver disease, urinary problems, SLE (systemic lupus erythematosus), any allergies (especially medication allergies). Before using indapamide, tell some your pharmacist if you pregnant. it is not known if indapamide is excreted into breast milk. Though their have been no reports (to date) of harm to nursing infants, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Lozol tablet interactions: Tell some your doctor about every medicines you may use (both prescription & nonprescription), especially: lithium, cisapride, digoxin, other drugs used for blood pressure, cholestyramine/colestipol, diazoxide, diabetes drug. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Lozol Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, & weakness.
Lozol special notes: do not allow anyone else to take this drug.
If you missed Lozol dose: Take any missed dose as soon as possible but not if it is almost clock for following dose. If this is time for the next dose, skip missed dose and resume your regular schedule. don't 'double up' the dose.
Lozol Storage: Store at room temperature and keep away from moisture and sunlight. don't store in the bathroom.
