    Warning: this tablet is strong 'water pill' (diuretic). Using too many of this drug can lead to serious water and mineral loss. Therefore, It's important you be monitored by your doctor. Promptly notify your physician if you become very thirsty, have dry mouth, become confused, or develop muscle cramps/weakness.

    Bumetanide Usage: Bumetanide is a 'water pill' (diuretic). this decreases the amount of water retained in body by increasing urination. It's used to treat fluid retention in the lungs or swelling of hands or feet (edema) or high blood pressure (hypertension).

    How to use Bumetanide: Take with food or milk to reduce stomach upset. If this drug is used in late afternoon or evening, you may need to urinate during night. Consult your healthcare professional regarding your dosing schedule.

    Bumetanide side effects: Headache & nausea infrequently might occur. If these persist or worsen, notify youre healthcare professional. Unlikely but report promptly: muscle cramps or weakness, dizziness, one-sided weakness (arms & legs), unusual fatigue, unusual thirst. Very unlikely but report promptly: fainting episodes, chest pain, hearing problems, unusual bleeding or bruising, yellowing about the eyes or skin. To prevent low potassium & other mineral deficiencies, this medication is frequently given with certain water pills (potassium-sparing) or mineral supplements/food recommendations. in unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this tablet, seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.

    Bumetanide Precautions: Tell you're healthcare professional youre medical history, especially of: kidney problems, unusual decrease in urine output, liver disease, drug allergies. this drug can reduce potassium levels at your blood. potassium supplement may be prescribed by your doctor. this drug should be used during pregnancy only when clearly needed. Discuss risks & benefits with your physician. Its not known if this medication is excreted at to breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Bumetanide drug interactions: Tell you're doctor about every nonprescription and prescription medication you use, especially of: other diuretics, (e.g., furosemide), digoxin, corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), corticotropin, amphotericin B, lithium, ginseng, blood pressure medications, indomethacin (and other NSAIDs such as aspirin & ibuprofen), probenecid, medications causing ear or kidney problems (e.g., aminoglycosides such as gentamicin; or cisplatin). do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

    Bumetanide Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include dry mouth, dizziness, excessive urination followed by a decrease in amount of urine, muscle cramps, weakness, & weak or irregular heartbeat.

    Bumetanide special notes: do not share this medication with others.

    If you missed Bumetanide dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time since following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    Bumetanide Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 - 86 degrees F (15 - 30 degrees C) away from moisture and light. do not store in the bathroom.
