Captopril with thiazide - oral

Warning: this drug can cause serious fetal harm if used during last 6 months of pregnancy. If pregnancy occurs, stop using it drug & immediately contact your physician.
Capozide Usage: Captopril prevents certain enzymes in body from narrowing blood vessels. this helps to lower blood pressure and makes heart beat stronger. Thiazides 'water pills' (diuretics) that help reduce blood pressure. this medication is used to treat hypertension.
How to use Capozide: this drug should be taken on an empty stomach, one hour before or two hours after meal. Take this medication exactly as prescribed. Try to take this at same time each day. do not stop taking this med without consulting your pharmacist. some conditions may become worse when drug is abruptly stopped. you're dose may need to be gradually decreased. Consult some your healthcare professional before using salt substitutes or low salt milk. it is important to continue taking this med even if you feel well. most person with HBP do not feel sick.
Capozide side effects: Dizziness, headache, diarrhea, constipation, loss about appetite, nausea, loss of taste, flushing, fatigue, cough or increased urination may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor. it tablet can increase sensitivity to sunlight. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Inform your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, tingling of hands or feet, persistent sore throat. it medication may rarely cause serious (possibly fatal) liver problems. If you notice any of following highly unlikely but very serious side effects, seek immeditial medical attention: yellowing about eyes or skin, dark urine, stomach/abdominal pain, persistent fatigue, persistent nausea. in the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this pill, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or healthcare professional.
Capozide Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially of: liver, kidney or heart problems, urinary problems, diabetes, allergies (especially allergies to sulfa drugs). hydrochlorothiazide at this product may increase your sensitivity to sunlight. Avoid prolonged sun exposure. If you become sun sensitive, use sunscreen & wear protective clothing when outdoors. Limit your intake of alcohol & use caution when exercising & during hot weather because these factors may increase the risk of dizziness. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during the first three months of pregnancy. this isnt recommended for use during the last six months of pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your physician. it medication is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Capozide drug interactions: this drug isnt recommended for use with: dofetilide. Ask your pharmacist or doctor since more details. Inform your pharmacist about all medicine you use (both prescription & nonprescription) especially of: lithium, potassium supplements, potassium-sparing water tablets, anti- inflammatory drugs (e.g., ibuprofen), digoxin. Avoid meds that may increase your heart rate such as decongestants or caffeine. Decongestants commonly found in cough-and-cold medicines. Read medication labels carefully. If you are uncertain your drug products increase heart rate, ask you're doctor or physician. If you take colestipol or cholestyramine, take it medicine 1 hour before or 4 hours after cholesterol-lowering medicine so they do not decrease absorption of it drug. do not start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or physician approval.
Capozide Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include dizziness, fainting, & weakness.
Capozide special notes: it is important to have some your blood pressure checked regularly while taking it med. Learn how to monitor your blood pressure. Discuss it with you're pharmacist.
If you missed Capozide dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Capozide Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight & moisture.
