Acetaminophen Usage: this tablet is used to relieve mild to moderate pain & to reduce fever.
How to use Acetaminophen: If suppository is too soft to insert, put it in cold water or refrigerate for 30 minutes before removing the foil wrapper. Unwrap the foil & moisten suppository with small amount water. Lie down on your left side with right knee bent. Push the suppository into the rectum with youre finger. Remain lying down for a some minutes & avoid having bowel movement for an hour or longer so medication will be absorbed. Take it tablet as directed. do not take more often then recommended. don't use for more than 10 days without consulting your healthcare professional. Not to be given to children under 3 years of age with out doctor's approval. don't take more acetaminophen then recommended (see Side Effects section).
Acetaminophen side effects: When taken as directed, most people experience little or no side effects with this drug. Tell youre pharmacist immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: simple bruising or bleeding, persistent sore throat or other signs about infection. If you don't have liver problems, adult maximum dose of acetaminophen is four grams daily (4000 milligrams). If you take more than maximum daily amount, it can cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease. Tell your physician immediately if you have any of following symptoms of liver damage: severe nausea, yellowing eyes or skin, dark urine, stomach pain, extreme fatigue. in unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your pharmacist or physician.
Acetaminophen Precautions: If you have any about next health problems, consult your doctor before using this medication: liver disease, alcohol dependency, any allergies. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage. daily use about alcohol, especially when combined with acetaminophen, may increase your risk for liver damage. cash with your doctor or pharmacist since more information. Acetaminophen is often used instead of aspirin. They are equally effective in relieving pain. However, acetaminophen does not reduce swelling and inflammation like aspirin does. Aspirin is the drug of choice in arthritis. they're are many brands & forms of acetaminophen on market. Read the dosing instructions carefully as amount of acetaminophen may vary among products. Acetaminophen appears to be safe for use during pregnancy. Use only if clearly needed. Acetaminophen is found in breast milk, but side effects in nursing infants have not been reported. Consult your healthcare professional if you breast-feeding.
Acetaminophen drug interactions: Tell your doctor of all nonprescription & prescription drugs you use, especially of: isoniazid, phenytoin, phenobarbital, zidovudine, sulfinpyrazone. Acetaminophen is an ingredient in many nonprescription products and in some combination prescription medications. Read the labels carefully before taking another pain relievers, fever reducers, or cold goods to see if they also contain acetaminophen. Consult your pharmacist if you are uncertain if some your other prescription or nonprescription products contain acetaminophen. (Also see adult maximum per day dose information in Side Effects section). do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or doctor approval.
Acetaminophen Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed. Symptoms of overdose may include vomiting, excessive sweating, severe nausea, yellowing eyes or skin, dark urine, stomach pain, extreme fatigue.
Acetaminophen special notes: Acetaminophen does not cause the stomach & intestinal ulcers that aspirin and aspirin-like NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen, ketoprofen) may cause.
If you missed Acetaminophen dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if it is almost time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Acetaminophen Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. May also refrigerate.
