Warning: Infrequently, serious (sometimes fatal) allergic reactions have occurred with paclitaxel use. Patients who experience severe allergic reactions must never again use this drug. Seek immediate medical attention if you develop signs of an allergic reaction such as rash, itching, breathing trouble, swelling or dizziness. this drug can lower the body's ability to fight an infection. Notify your physician promptly if you develop signs of an infection such as fever, chills or persistent sore throat. Blood tests (e.g., white blood cell counts) recommended during paclitaxel use. this tablet must be given in an appropriate setting.

Paclitaxel Usage: Paclitaxel is used to treat various types about cancer.
How to use Paclitaxel: this medication is given by continuous infusion into vein over 24 hours. this is usually given once all 5 weeks, but dose may be adjusted based on you're progress. it is usually administered in a hospital setting where you can be monitored closely. drug to prevent side effects is usually given before you receive paclitaxel.
Paclitaxel side effects: Nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, muscle aches, joint pain, diarrhea, mouth sores and reversible hair loss may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor promptly. Notify your healthcare professional promptly if you develop: chest pain, abnormal heartbeat, breathing trouble, fever, unusual bruising or bleeding, tingling about hands or feet. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate healthcare attention if this occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Paclitaxel Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history, especially of: heart disease, liver disease, bone marrow disorders, infections, any allergies you may have. Because this medication can lower you're body's ability to fight an infection, avoid touching you're eyes or inside youre nose without first washing you're hands. Use caution with sharp objects like safety razors or nail cutters & avoid activities such as contact sports in order to lower chance of gettin cut, bruised or injured. do not have immunizations/vaccinations without consent of your doctor, and avoid contact with human who have recently received oral polio vaccine. Caution is advised when using this med at elderly because they may be more sensitive to the effects of the medication, especially effects on the bone marrow (myelosuppression). Paclitaxel isnt recommended since use during pregnancy. Consult your pharmacist before using this medication. It's not known if paclitaxel passes into breast milk. Breast- feeding is usually stopped while using anticancer drugs. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Paclitaxel drug interactions: Tell your doctor or pharmacist of every prescription & nonprescription pills you may use, especially of: ketoconazole, every anti-cancer meds, St John's wort. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Paclitaxel Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include tingling about hands or feet; severe mouth sores, or trouble breathing.
Paclitaxel special notes: Laboratory tests will be done periodically to monitor your progress.
If you missed Paclitaxel dose: Discuss dosing schedule with some your physician. do not double the dose to catch up.
Paclitaxel Storage: Store original vials in the refrigerator. the infusion solution canbe stored in 77 degrees F (25 degrees C). check the expiration date and discard any unused tablet after that time.
