    Guanabenz Acetate Usage: it pill is used to treat hypertension (hypertension).

    How to use Guanabenz Acetate: Take this medication exactly as prescribed. Try to take this at the same times each day. do not stop taking this drug without consulting your pharmacist. some conditions may become worse when drug is suddenly stopped. youre dose may need to be gradually decreased. it medication may be taken with food or milk if stomach irritation occurs. Its important to continue taking this tablet even if you feel well. the majority of the people with hypertension don't feel sick.

    Guanabenz Acetate side effects: You may feel tired & run down the 1st some weeks while taking this medication as some your body adjusts to lower blood pressure. this is normal. Continue taking med. If symptoms persist or become severe, inform your doctor. Dizziness and drowsiness are common especially during the 1-st several weeks of therapy another side effects may include headache, indigestion, nasal congestion, decreased sexual ability, blurred vision, or sleep disturbances. Contact your pharmacist if you experience: breathing difficulties, tremors, swelling of hands or feet, chest pain, depression. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or physician.

    Guanabenz Acetate Precautions: Tell you're doctor your medical history, especially: heart disease, liver disease, kidney problems, any drug allergies. Use caution performing task requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery if this drug makes you dizzy or drowsy. Limit or avoid alcohol because this may add to dizziness and/or drowsiness effects of this drug. Elderly patients may be more sensitive to effects of this medication. Use cautiously. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your pharmacist. this isnt known if guanabenz is excreted into breast milk. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

    Guanabenz Acetate drug interactions: Tell you're healthcare professional about all medicines you may use (both prescription and nonprescription), especially: beta-blockers (e.g., propranolol, atenolol), drugs that may make you drowsy (e.g., narcotic analgesics, tranquilizers, anti-anxiety medicine or sleep medicines), other blood pressure medicine. much about of medications for coughs & colds contain ingredients which may increase blood pressure.     If you missed Guanabenz Acetate dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.

    Guanabenz Acetate Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
