Thiotepa Usage: Thiotepa is used to treat various cancers & tumors.
How to use Thiotepa: this is a potent med. Use it exactly as prescribed. Tell youre doctor or nurse immediately if you experience pain, burning or redness at place where injected. Unless you're doctor instructs you otherwise, drink plenty of fluids while taking it drug. it helps some your kidneys to remove drug from your body & avoid few of side effects.
Thiotepa side effects: Nausea, vomiting, loss about appetite, hives, missed menstrual periods, or dizziness common side effects of this drug. Not eating before treatment may help vomiting. Changes in diet such as eating few small meals or limiting activity may help lessen some of these effects. in few cases, tablet therapy may be necessary to prevent or relieve nausea and vomiting. Temporary hair loss is other common side effect. Normal hair growth should return after treatment has ended. Contact youre physician immediately if you experience any of the next symptoms: fever, chills, painful or difficult urination, easy or unusual bruising or bleeding, black tarry stools, small red spots on the skin, skin rash, tightness of throat, wheezing, joint pain, swollen feet or lower legs, sores in mouth or on lips, cough, lower back or side pain. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.
Thiotepa Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially: kidney problems, liver problems, blood disorders, any allergies. Use caution with sharp objects love safety razors or nail cutters & avoid activities such as contact sports in order to lower chance about getting cut, bruised, or injured. Avoid touching you're eyes or inside youre nose without 1'st washing youre hands. do not have immunizations/vaccinations without consent of you're doctor, & avoid contact with people who have recently received oral polio vaccine. Thiotepa isn't recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before using this medication. It's not known is this drug passes in to breast milk. Consult youre pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Thiotepa drug interactions: Tell youre doctor of all medications you may use (both prescription & nonprescription), especially: other anti-cancer medications, meds that affect bone marrow.
Thiotepa Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include persistent sore throat or fever; easy bleeding or bruising; or severe fatigue.
Thiotepa special notes: it drug can lower your body's ability to fight an infection. Notify your pharmacist if you develop any signs of an infection such as fever, sore throat, rash, or chills. Regular pharmacist visits are important. Frequent blood tests will be done to monitor therapy.
If you missed Thiotepa dose: it is important to receive each scheduled dose about this medication. If you miss a dose, contact you're pharmacist.
Thiotepa Storage: Store in refrigerator between 36 & 46 degree F (between 2.2 and 7.8 degrees C) & protect from light.
Medical alert: your condition can cause complications in a medical emergency.
