Female, Age : 21-30 years old , Reason : contraception.
Side Effects : heacy periods, dizziness
Review : No weight gain, but very heavy periods (soaking through a super tampon and filling a pad within 1-2 hours) and also dizzy spells resulting in falls usually. I was on this for 6 years before switching because I really didn't think it was tricyclen that was the problem. I was on Alesse for a year, super light periods, but found that I had vaginal dryness, so I decided to give tri cyclen another go. Have been back on it for 2 months, super heavy periods have resumed, and now have serious dizzy spells/orthostatic hypotension-type spells for the week post period (possibly linked to the heavy blood loss?). I'm switching back to Alesse as soon as possible.
I know a lot of girls that they love tri cyclen, but this just wasn't the pill for me!
