Cough Syrup Usage: Antihistamines provide relief of symptoms about allergies such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes & sneezing. Decongestants relieve congestion, promote sinus draining and improve breathing.
How to use Cough Syrup: May be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids while taking this drug, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. If symptoms do not improve after 7 days or are accompanied by high fever, notify your physician. do not increase dose or take this more frequently than recommended. suspension dosage form must be shaken well before each use.
Cough Syrup side effects: may cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability and dry mouth & nose. These effects should subside as your body adjusts to drug. If they persist or become bothersome, inform your physician. Notify some your healthcare professional if you develop: breathing difficulties, heart pounding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing in ears, difficulty urinating. may cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from a seated or lying position. Change positions slowly and be careful on stairs. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or doctor.
Cough Syrup Precautions: Tell youre pharmacist your medical history, especially about: asthma, glaucoma, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, heart disease, HBP, seizures, an overactive thyroid gland, drug allergies. money it product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Cough Syrup medication interactions: Tell youre doctor what tablets you take, especially about: hypertension meds, anti-seizure drugs, antidepressants, sleeping tablets, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain pill, other cold or allergy tablet. do not take it drug if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within last two weeks. don't start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Cough Syrup Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose in child may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount of urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms of overdose in adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.

If you missed Cough Syrup dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Cough Syrup Storage: Store in room temperature away from sunlight and moisture.
