Cleocin HCL Usage: An antibiotic used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections.
How to use Cleocin HCL: Clindamycin should be taken with food & a full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water unless you're pharmacist directs you otherwise. do not lie down for 30 minutes after taking it. the oral solution of it product must be shaken well before using. Solution retains potency for 14 days at room temperature. Antibiotics work best when amount about medicine in your body is kept in a constant level. Do this by taking drug at evenly spaced intervals throughout day & night. Continue to take this medication until full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after few days. Stopping medication too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow resulting in relapse of infection.
Cleocin HCL side effects: this medication can cause stomach upset, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, cramps, bloating & weight loss which should disappear in few days as your body adjusts to medication. If these symptoms persist or become severe, inform your pharmacist. If diarrhea becomes problem, do not take any anti-diarrhea meds. Contact youre physician. Notify your pharmacist if following effects occur: rash, hives, fever. in the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this medication, seek healthcare professional attention immediately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or physician.
Cleocin HCL Precautions: Before using this drug, tell your healthcare professional some your medical history especially of: liver or kidney disease, stomach or abdominal problems (colitis), any drug allergies. Tell your healthcare professional if you are pregnant before using this drug. this drug is excreted into breast milk. Though no problems have been noted, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Cleocin HCL Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Cleocin HCL special notes: this medication has been prescribed for your current condition only. do not use it later for another infection or give it to someone else. different medication may be necessary in those cases.
If you missed Cleocin HCL dose: If you should miss dose, take it as soon as remembered unless this is almost clock for following dose. If it is nearly time for the next dose, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose.
Cleocin HCL Storage: Store at room temperature away from moisture & sunlight. Follow label warnings of whether or not to refrigerate liquid forms. do not freeze. don't store in bathroom.
