Imodium Advanced Usage: this combination medication is used to treat diarrhea & symptoms of gas (e.g., cramps, bloating, pressure).

How to use Imodium Advanced: Take this medication by mouth usually 2 to 3 times daily as needed after each loose bowel movement (loose stool); or as directed by your healthcare professional. dosage is based on you're age, medical condition, and response to therapy. do not exceed the recommended dosage for youre age group. Drink plenty of water or clear liquids while taking this medication. Doing so will help prevent the loss about fluids (dehydration) caused by the diarrhea. do not take this drug for more than 2 days at a clock for quick onset (acute) diarrhea or 10 days for long-term (chronic) diarrhea. Consult you're doctor since additional information.

Imodium Advanced side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, dry mouth, drowsiness, dizziness, or constipation may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your healthcare professional promptly. Tell your healthcare professional immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: stomach pain. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water, or use a saliva substitute. An allergic reaction to it medication is unlikely, but seek immediate healthcare professional attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or physician.

Imodium Advanced Precautions: this medication is not recommended for use if you have following medical conditions: high fever, blood or mucus at your stool (bowel movements). Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially of: liver problems, bowel disease (e.g., ulcerative colitis), any allergies. it medication may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. Tell your healthcare professional if you pregnant before using this medication. It's not known if this med passes into breast milk. Consult you're doctor before breast-feeding.

Imodium Advanced drug interactions: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription tablet you may use, especially: antibiotics (including trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole). Tell your pharmacist if you take any antacids or other products to help with digestion. These products may also contain simethicone. Tell you're physician if you take any drugs that cause drowsiness such as: medicine for sleep, sedatives, tranquilizers, anti- anxiety drugs (e.g., diazepam, lorazepam), narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine, morphine), psychiatric medicines (e.g., phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine or tricyclic antidepressants such as amitriptyline), anti-seizure tablets (e.g., carbamazepine, topiramate), muscle relaxants, certain antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine). dollars labels on all youre medicines (e.g., cough-and-cold products) because they may contain drowsiness-causing ingredients. Ask your doctor about the safe use about these products. do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or healthcare professional approval.

Imodium Advanced Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include: severe drowsiness & constipation.

Imodium Advanced special notes: Keep this drug out about the reach of children.

If you missed Imodium Advanced dose: If you miss dose, use this as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the following dose, skip the missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.

Imodium Advanced Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 & 30 degrees C) away from light and moisture.
