    Olsalazine - oral

    (ohl-sal-uh-zeen)

    common brand names: Dipentum

    Dipentum Usage: it medication works in intestine to relieve inflammation. it is used in treatment about ulcerative colitis.

    How to use Dipentum: Take this with food or after meals to prevent stomach upset. the usual dose for adults is two 250mg capsules two times daily taken at evenly spaced intervals. Or take as directed by your doctor. If you are uncertain about your dosing schedule, ask youre doctor or pharmacist to explain this to you.

    Dipentum side effects: this drug may cause stomach upset, gas, bloating, nausea, loss about appetite, headache, drowsiness, dizziness or trouble sleeping during 1'st some days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these symptoms persist or worsen, inform your healthcare professional promptly. Notify your doctor promptly if you develop: diarrhea, stomach pain, rash, itching, yellowing eyes or skin, dark urine, fever, fatigue. in the unlikely part you have an allergic reaction to it medication, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your physician or healthcare professional.

    Dipentum Precautions: Tell some your pharmacist your medical history, especially of: kidney problems, asthma, nasal polyps, any allergies (including allergies to sulfasalazine or aspirin-like drugs). this medicine may cause stomach bleeding. daily use of alcohol, especially when combined with this medicine, may increase your risk for stomach bleeding. USD with some your physician or physician for more information. this drug must be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your physician. Olsalazine is excreted into breast milk and may have undesirable effects on nursing infant. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Dipentum drug interactions: Tell youre doctor of every over-the-counter & prescription pill you may use, especially: warfarin. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

    Dipentum Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

    Dipentum special notes: do not share this drug with others.

    If you missed Dipentum dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take if this is almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Dipentum Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
