Hydrocortisone Usage: this drug is used to treat swelling, inflammation, or itching of conditions such as hemorrhoids.
How to use Hydrocortisone: To apply cream or ointment, wash & dry rectal area first. then gently massage small amount of the pill into the affected area. do not use in larger amounts, more many times, or longer than directed.
Hydrocortisone side effects: this med may cause burning, stinging, itching or redness when 1st applied. this should disappear in some days as your body adjusts to medication. If these effects persist or worsen, inform you're pharmacist. Notify your doctor if redness, swelling or irritation does not improve. Notify doctor of: rectal bleeding or pain. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly the following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness, vision changes. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.
Hydrocortisone Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially of: eye problems, sores or infection about region being treated, any allergies. Though very unlikely, It's possible this medication will be absorbed into youre bloodstream. this may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. this is especially true since children & for those who have used it for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. it precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use of this drug. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with you're healthcare professional. It's not known if this medication is excreted into breast milk. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.

If you missed Hydrocortisone dose: If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; don't apply if it is almost time since next dose. Instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Hydrocortisone Storage: Store at room temperature away from moisture and sunlight. do not store at bathroom.
