Zofran Odt Usage: this drug is used to prevent nausea & vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy or after surgery. it works by blocking hormone (serotonin) that causes vomiting.

How to use Zofran Odt: this medication is dissolved on top about the tongue. this isn't meant to be chewed or swallowed like other tablet forms. Dry your hands before peeling back the foil to remove a tablet. do not try to push the pill through foil. Immediately after removing tablet from Its blister pack, place the tablet on your tongue where it will dissolve at seconds. After it dissolves, swallow it with saliva. Drinking a liquid isn't necessary. the 1-st dose is usually taken 30 minutes before chemotherapy. Take further doses as directed, usually for 1-2 days after completion about chemotherapy. other medical conditions and procedures require different dosing schedules. Follow your doctor's orders carefully.

Zofran Odt side effects: Diarrhea or constipation, headache, lightheadedness or drowsiness (uncommon), as well as blurred vision may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify you're doctor promptly. Zofran Odt Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include change in vision, severe constipation, severe dizziness, or irregular heartbeat.

Zofran Odt special notes: do not share this drug with others.

If you missed Zofran Odt dose: Try to take each dose in the scheduled time. If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if this is near the time since the next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Zofran Odt Storage: These tablets may be stored in or out of refrigerator between 36 and 86 degrees F (2 & 30 degrees C).
