Trusopt Usage: it drug is used in the eye to lower eye pressure. it is used to treat glaucoma and elevated eye pressure.
How to use Trusopt: this drug is since use in eyes as directed, usually one drop at the affected eyes up to 5 times day. Apply eye drops as follows: Wash hands 1'st. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch dropper or let this touch your eye. Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place dropper directly over eye and administer prescribed number of drops. watch downward and gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. Place one finger in the corner about the eye near the nose & apply gentle pressure. this will prevent med from draining away from eye. Try not to blink & do not rub eye. do not rinse the dropper. Wash hands after use. If you are using another kind about eye drop, wait at least ten minutes before applying other medications.
Trusopt side effects: this medication may temporarily sting or burn youre eye since minute or 2 when first applied. Headache, fatigue, sensitivity of eyes to light and nausea have also been reported. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable since few minutes after applying eye drops. If you notice any of the following serious side effects, stop using this drug & consult you're doctor or healthcare professional immediately: eye/eyelid swelling/pain/redness/discharge. Tell your doctor immediately if you have any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects: stomach pain, dark urine, simple bruising or bleeding, vision changes, persistent sore throat, fever. An allergic reaction to this tablet is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if this occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.
Trusopt Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: kidney problems, liver disease, other illnesses, had eye surgery, allergies (especially allergies to sulfa drugs). this medication may make you dizzy or cause blurred vision; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. it pill should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your pharmacist. this is not known whether this drug passes at to breast milk. Because of potential risk to the infant, breast-feeding while using it drug isn't recommended. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Trusopt medication interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you use, especially of: brinzolamide or other glaucoma eye drops, oral carbonic anhydrase inhibitors (e.g., acetazolamide, methazolamide), high doses of aspirin or related drugs. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or healthcare professional approval.
Trusopt Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Trusopt special notes: the majority of the persons with glaucoma or elevated eye pressure don't have any symptoms so this may be hard to remember to use this tablet. But to be most effective, this drug must be used continuously.
If you missed Trusopt dose: If you miss dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not apply it if Its near clock for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Trusopt Storage: Close the container tightly after each use. Store at room temperature (between 59 & 86 degrees F) away from heat & light. Discard it if the solution turns brown, cloudy or contains particles.
