Carboptic Usage: this medication reduces pressure in eye. It's used to treat glaucoma.
How to use Carboptic: To apply eye drops, wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch tip of the dropper or let it touch youre eye. Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down lower eyelid to make pouch. Place dropper directly over eye and administer prescribed number about drops. see downward and gently close youre eye for 1 to two minutes. Try not to blink & do not rub the eye. do not rinse dropper. If more than one type about eye drop is to be used, wait at least three minutes before using any another eye med.
Carboptic side effects: Headache, or temporary burning or stinging may occur initially. These effects should disappear as you're body adjusts to medication. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable after applying eye drops. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. this medication may cause vision problems in poor light. Use caution especially when driving at night. Inform you're doctor if you develop: vision changes, eye pain, flushing, shortness of breath, stomach cramps, diarrhea, vomiting, increased sweating, increased salivation. Also contact your doctor if blurred vision persists more than some hours in morning after bedtime use. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Carboptic Precautions: Before using this drug, tell your doctor if you have: other eye problems, asthma, intestinal disease, ulcers, low or high blood pressure, heart disease, an overactive thyroid gland, seizures, Parkinson's disease, obstruction of the urinary tract. Before having surgery with general anesthetic, tell the healthcare professional or dentist that you use this med. do not allow anyone else to use this medication. this medication should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. It's not known if this medication appears in breast milk. Consult with you're doctor before breast-feeding.
Carboptic med interactions: this drug can affect way youre body responds to other medications. Tell youre pharmacist what prescription and nonprescription drugs you are taking. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or physician approval.
Carboptic Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed. Symptoms about overdose may include blurred vision, increased saliva, fainting, irregular heartbeat, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, asthma, & increased sweating.
Carboptic special notes: don't share this product with others.
If you missed Carboptic dose: If you should miss dose, apply as soon as remembered unless this is almost time for the next dose. in that case, skip the missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Carboptic Storage: Store solution in a cool, dark place. Discard solution if it changes color, becomes cloudy or contains particles.
Medical alert: your condition can cause complications in medical emergency.
