Metipranolol - ophthalmic

Optipranolol Usage: it medication is used to treat pressure within eye (glaucoma, intraocular hypertension).
How to use Optipranolol: Use it medication as directed. Try to use it at the same time each day to get into routine about using this. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before applying these eye drops. You may put them back in, 15 minutes after applying the drops. Apply eye drops to affected eyes as follows: Wash hands first. To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip; do not let the tip touch your eye or any another surface; do not rinse the dropper after use. Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place dropper directly over eye and administer the prescribed number of drops. watch downward & gently close youre eye for 1 to two minutes. Place one finger at corner of eye near the nose & apply gentle pressure. this will prevent the medication from draining away from eye. Try not to blink and do not rub eye. do not stop using it medication without first consulting your doctor. If you are using other kind of eye drop, wait in least five minutes before applying other medications.
Optipranolol side effects: this med may temporarily sting or burn you're eyes for a minute or two when applied. other side effects reported include brow ache, tearing & sensitivity to light. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Notify you're physician if you develop: a skin rash, eye pain, swelling in or around eyes, vision problems, breathing trouble, slow or irregular heartbeat, headache, dizziness, depression. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Optipranolol Precautions: Tell youre doctor if you have: asthma, heart disease, lung disease, thyroid disease, diabetes, muscle disease, any allergies. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable for period after applying eye drops. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss risks & benefits with youre doctor.
Optipranolol med interactions: Tell you're doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, including: heart drug, blood pressure med, quinidine, verapamil. If you are scheduled for any surgery, be sure your physician knows you are taking it medication. this may be necessary to stop using this for short time. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or physician approval.
Optipranolol Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include dizziness, headache, shortness of breath, slow heart rate, wheezing, & coughing.
Optipranolol special notes: youre intraocular (eye) pressure will be monitored to check effectiveness of this drug.
If you missed Optipranolol dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use this if it is near the clock for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Optipranolol Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Discard this if solution turns brown, cloudy or contains particles.
