Betimol Usage: it medication is used to reduce pressure in the eye caused by glaucoma or other eye conditions.
How to use Betimol: To instill eye drops, wash hands 1st. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the dropper or let it touch you're eye. Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down the lower eyelid to make pouch. Place dropper directly over eye and administer the prescribed number of drops. look downward and gently close you're eye for 1 to 2 minutes. Try not to blink and do not rub the eye. don't rinse the dropper. for maximum effect, this medication must be used routinely as prescribed.
Betimol side effects: this medication may temporarily sting your eyes for minute or two when you first use this. If stinging persists or becomes bothersome, inform your doctor. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable after applying drops. Use caution driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. Notify your pharmacist if you experience any of these rarely occurring side effects: dizziness, drowsiness, depression, irregular or slow heartbeat. at unlikely episode you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immeditial medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or healthcare professional.
Betimol Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional you're medical history, especially of: diabetes, thyroid disorders, muscle weakness disorders, breathing problems, heart problems, any allergies. If you scheduled for surgery that requires anesthesia, tell the doctor treating you that you use this medication. If you have eye surgery, injury or infection consult your eye doctor about continued use of this current eye drop bottle. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your physician. this drug may be excreted in to breast milk & may have undesirable effects on nursing infant. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Betimol drug interactions: Tell some your physician of every prescription and nonprescription pills you may use, especially of: another drugs used for glaucoma, theophylline, drugs used for HBP, heart drugs, diabetes medications, drugs used for colds or nasal congestion. do not start or stop any medicine with out pharmacist or doctor approval.
Betimol Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed. Symptoms about overdose may include dizziness, slow heart rate, or breathing difficulties.
Betimol special notes: Discard the solution if it turns brown, cloudy or contains particles.
If you missed Betimol dose: If you should miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the following dose, skip missed dose & resume regular dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Betimol Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
