Betagan Usage: this medication is used to reduce pressure in eye caused by glaucoma or other eye conditions.
How to use Betagan: To instill eye drops, wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch dropper or let this touch your eye. Tilt your head back, gaze upward & pull down the lower eyelid to make pouch. Place dropper directly over eye and administer the prescribed number of drops. see downward & gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. Try not to blink and do not rub the eye. do not rinse the dropper. for maximum effect, it tablet must be used routinely as prescribed.
Betagan side effects: this medication may temporarily sting youre eyes for a minute or two when you first use this. If stinging persists or becomes bothersome, inform youre doctor. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable after applying drops. Use caution driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. Notify some your healthcare professional if you experience any of these rarely occurring side effects: dizziness, drowsiness, depression, irregular or slow heartbeat. in unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immeditial medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.
Betagan Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially of: diabetes, thyroid disorders, muscle weakness disorders, breathing problems, heart problems, any allergies. If you are scheduled for surgery that requires anesthesia, tell physician treating you that you use it medication. If you have eye surgery, injury or infection consult your eye physician about continued use of it current eye drop bottle. it pill should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with youre healthcare professional. this medication may be excreted in to breast milk & may have undesirable effects on nursing infant. Consult you're healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Betagan drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of every prescription and nonprescription tablets you may use, especially of: other medications used for glaucoma, theophylline, drugs used for HBP, heart medications, diabetes drugs, pills used for colds or nasal congestion. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or physician approval.
Betagan Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed. Symptoms about overdose may include dizziness, slow heart rate, or breathing difficulties.
Betagan special notes: Discard solution if this turns brown, cloudy or contains particles.
If you missed Betagan dose: If you should miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for following dose, skip missed dose & resume regular dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Betagan Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
