    Aminocaproic Acid Usage: it medication is used to control bleeding. in an emergency, blood transfusions or other emergency measures may also be required.

    How to use Aminocaproic Acid: this med is given into a vein (IV), generally for about 8 hours or until bleeding has been controlled. this medication must be given slowly to minimize side effects. Use as directed. Follow all instructions for proper mixing & dilution with correct IV fluids. Consult your healthcare professional. this medication product should be checked visually for particles or discoloration before use. If present, do not use liquid.

    Aminocaproic Acid side effects: Nausea, headache, diarrhea, or fatigue may occur. If any about these effects persist or worsen, notify your physician. Unlikely but report promptly: irregular or unusually slow pulse, pain/redness at injection site. Very unlikely but report promptly: vision changes, one-sided weakness, ringing in ears or loss of hearing, chest pain, mental/mood changes, muscle pain or weakness, change in amount of urine, seizures, prolonged menstruation, ejaculation problems. in the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

    Aminocaproic Acid Precautions: Tell you're physician your medical history, including: any allergies, blood clotting disorders (e.g., hemophilia), kidney disease, bleeding within brain, bleeding about urinary system. preservative (benzyl alcohol) which may be found in this product or in liquid used to mix it product (diluent) can infrequently cause serious problems (sometimes death) if given by injection to an infant during first months of life (neonatal period). risk is greater with lower birth weight infants & is greater with increased amounts of benzyl alcohol. Symptoms include sudden gasping, LBP, or very slow heartbeat. Report these symptoms to the pharmacist immediately should they occur. If possible, preservative-free product should be used when treating neonates. this medication must be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. it is not known whether this drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.

    Aminocaproic Acid drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of every prescription & non- prescription meds you use, especially of: blood thinners (e.g., heparin, warfarin), blood factors (e.g., Factor IX, prothrombin complex concentrates). it medication may interfere with several lab tests. Make sure lab personnel know that you are using this drug. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or physician approval.

    Aminocaproic Acid Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include dizziness, sudden change in amount about urine, or seizures.

    Aminocaproic Acid special notes: don't share this tablet with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed to monitor youre progress.

    If you missed Aminocaproic Acid dose: Not applicable. However, if youre infusion is interrupted, notify you're healthcare professional immediately to re-establish dosing.

    Aminocaproic Acid Storage: Store vial at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 - 30 degrees C) away from light & moisture. don't freeze. Discard any unused liquid.
