Warning: Nilutamide may infrequently cause lung problems (interstitial pneumonitis), which rarely may be fatal. Seek immediate medical attention if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: trouble breathing, persistent cough, chest pain, fever. Laboratory and/or medical tests (e.g., chest X-ray, lung function) may be performed to monitor your progress.
Nilandron Usage: it medication is used, in addition to surgery, to treat prostate cancer.
How to use Nilandron: Take by mouth, generally once daily, as directed. it drug can be taken with or without food. do not stop taking this without consulting youre doctor or healthcare professional.
Nilandron side effects: Nausea, constipation, loss of appetite or hot flashes may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your healthcare professional. Report promptly: stomach pain, headache, vision changes, facial flushing, dizziness, mental/mood changes, trouble sleeping, sweating, loss of body hair, rash, changes in sense about touch, decreased sex drive. Unlikely but report promptly: trouble breathing, cough, chest pain, fever, yellowing of the eyes or skin, dark urine, unusual tiredness, swelling, diarrhea, itching, black or bloody stools. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Nilandron Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, including: any allergies, liver disease, lung problems (e.g., asthma, COPD). it drug can cause reaction when used with alcohol, including facial flushing, tiredness or dizziness. If you experience these effects, avoid alcohol while taking this. Consult your pharmacist or pharmacist about use of alcohol. this drug may alter ability of some your eye to adjust from lighted area to a dark area. Use caution when driving at night or through tunnels. use of tinted glasses may help block this effect. Consult youre physician or doctor. Use with caution at patients about aisan descent, as they may be more sensitive to the effects of this pill. Consult your doctor. this medication must be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with you're doctor. Its not known whether this drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Nilandron pill interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of all prescription & nonprescription medication you use, especially about: theophylline, drugs that affect your liver (e.g., isoniazid), 'blood thinners' (anticoagulants such as warfarin), seizure medications (e.g., phenytoin, carbamazepine). do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or healthcare professional approval.
Nilandron Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, & general discomfort.
Nilandron special notes: do not share it medication with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests, including chest x-rays or liver function tests, may be performed to monitor for side effects & response to therapy.
If you missed Nilandron dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If It's near the time of the following dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
Nilandron Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from light & moisture.
